For more than 80 years, families, children and adults in need of help and hope have been able to turn to Catholic Charities to find comprehensive, caring and competent  support. Last year, our more than 65 programs working in 47 locations across the District of Columbia and the surrounding Maryland counties served more than 116,000 men, women and children of all economic, religious and social backgrounds.

Trust for the National Mall

The Trust for the National Mall is dedicated to restoring, improving, and preserving the National Mall: home to the history, heroes, and hope of America. The National Mall belongs to all Americans; therefore, it is up to all of us to protect America’s Front Yard for future generations.

Northern Virginia Family Services

Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS) is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families find new paths to self-reliance and brighter futures. NVFS is an innovator of efficient and comprehensive service methods, and has been recognized nationally for its effectiveness in creating sustained financial and social independence for its clients.


Housing Unlimited

We provide shared housing – single family and three bedroom townhouses – and rent them at below-market rates to qualified individuals. Rent is computed on a sliding scale based on income and is capped to encourage employment and maintain a sense a security.Tenants are responsible for their own health, finances, interpersonal relationships, and maintaining a clean home.

CHI Centers

It is the mission of CHI Centers to join with others to create the conditions that allow all persons with disabilities to have opportunities to participate in community life; to have choices in the pursuit of personal growth; to maintain positive relationships with family, friends and neighbors; and to be afforded respect and dignity.


Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, promoting individualized treatment and ensuring access to high-quality, specialized care.
